Have you ever wondered why there are failed relationships? I’m sure you do. Have you ever been so in love that you eventually lose yourself along the way. I’ll make this article as short as possible.
I have read an article a few years back, I just forgot the title but it share something about the cycle of love and relationships. Which says something like:
“Loving a person is a choice and falling out of love for that person is also a choice.”
Each one of us has our own piece to share when it comes to this but have you ever wondered why we always lose our self in the process of falling in love? I am also asking that question to myself many times.
Been thinking a lot lately and these were based on my own experience and realizations:
We have loved the person so much but…
It was never wrong to love that much if you really have a lot to give. In cases like this, it would always end up you asking for the same amount of love and that’s where the problem comes in.
When we love we just love them with the way we know how. Every person is different if you are asking for the same kind or amount of love you are wrong. That kind of love can never be reciprocated because we are so different and our language of love is different from each other. It’s just whether we accept that kind of love or not. It’s always a choice.
We never understand the other person’s needs
There’s always a low point in every person’s life. Sometimes we don’t understand or pretend to not understand because we thought only of ourselves or it all boils down to the fact that we don’t try to understand because we are so selfish. We never tried to just listen to what they say or what they don’t want to say. Sometimes sitting down or not saying anything is the best solution.
In the end, we forget to love ourselves…
We forget who we are in the process because we have loved the person the wrong way. Is there a right or wrong when it comes to loving a person? Yes, when it’s already making the other person uncomfortable and then that’s a wrong kind of love. We forget to love ourselves and we blame that other person. You can always give love but leave something for yourself. Make a life of your own outside your relationship that can make you happy and can make the other person happy. Loving that person is a choice and staying with that person is a choice. It’s a hard choice but you have to choose anyway.
Hope you get something out from this article. You can leave your comments or share your own stories :) I am not good in giving advises but I’m a good friend.
I tried to keep the article at 300-500 but I guess it’s hard!! Chao!
